"They're having some kind of blood status rally," Anne said hotly. "I don't know who they think they are, really. This is like what happened in Britain with their Ministry of Magic." She followed the Bellefeuille girl to a quieter part of the rally, though, keeping a tight grip on her braid as she weaved through people behind Madelief, who was even smaller than she was. Thankful for once for her small stature, she took a few breaths when the bit of space opened up. "I'm here for my student service," she said, waving her hand in the direction of the museum. "I'm a docent at the museum on free days. I was just trying to come out for a cup of tea when this happened. What about you--"

Anne turned back to the rally as shouts broke out. "Look out!" she cried, ducking as more objects started flying. People from the houses on the street were throwing things at the protestors, and they were picking them up and throwing them right back, often propelled by levitation charms. The shop directly above them appeared to be a restaurant throwing out poor-quality produce such as potatoes. Bemusedly, she considered how terrible her luck had been with coming to Chatoeil lately. "We have to get out of here," she declared, trying to look for the clearest route away from the protestors. She couldn't see around corners, so she was unsure whether the crowd continued to plug up the side streets leading to the main thoroughfare or whether they could escape down one of them.
