Kalevi Aare [ Drakonya Krov ]

The usually cool and collected Kalevi had a hard time keepimg his composure. Today was the day he would finally go down to see the draugrs. He had talked himself into it and was eager to go. Kalevi didn't tell anyone what his plans were, but word had begun to spread of his enthusiastism about the creatures. It wasn't hard to assume he would try to make another trip down to the pier. His first attempt had been in vain. He had snuck down late at night, but got so spooked he came back to the school before he even caught sight of their ship. Perhaps while the sun was still out, it wouldn't be so bad.

Kalevi wasn't sure what to expect. There had been a couple of students who had a near-encounter with them. While he wanted to ask them of their experience, he also wanted to keep off the of the radars of the tsars and tsaritzas as well as the professors. They'd only try to stop him.

He gobbled up his dinner at a blinding rate. Kalevi couldn't think about savoring the taste and taking his time to enjoy the food. He had things to do and creatures to meet. When asked why he was in such a ruah, he kept his answers vague as he informed his housemates that he had to study for some classes he had fallen behind in (both were a lie. He was performing academically superb).

His excitement got to him that he ate very little before jumping from his seat and throwing his bag over his shoulder. There was still a little bit of food left on his plate, an unusual habit of his as he always made a point to eat everything before him. He waved to his friends before bolting out the doors of the great hall to begin his way down to tbe secluded pier where the draugrs occasionally dwelt.

So the rumors had turned out true and the creatures sure lived up to their reputation. The draugr were disgusting creatures who were frankly quite aggressive. Kes really didn't fancy the idea of seeing them ever again if he could help it. The rotting flesh and looked like it fell apart with the most gentle of touches. The smell of decaying fish and sea mixed with rotting wood did not come as pleasant to Kes. He did quite well though at keeping his sense of smell in check and was able to not barf while in the presence of the creature, but it still didn't stop him from feeling like he was going to hurl.

The ordeal had been one of an accident. He never wanted to see the creatures. Sure he was curious like any other student, but he had his own matters to attend to when visiting that shore. A place to hide and be secluded from the world was one he always searched for. Since the falls of their previous locale were no longer available to the Lithuanian youth he tried to improvise. Unfortunately, things didn't go as well as he thought and here he was no essentially making sure no one made their way to that shore. He was confident the being wasn't there anymore, but no one should have to experience the ordeal he had to go through. Kes couldn't even remember how they made it out of their situation, but they did.

So when rumors happened to be flying around the school that fellow sixth year Kalevi was really interested in seeing the creatures Kes did his best to try and intercept the boy. He watched the youth gobble his dinner down and get up with an unfished plate. Now was the time to stop him, but how? He had heard rumors about the kid having an issue with blood if all else failed maybe he would have to injure the kid? Or even duel the boy. Wait Kes wasn't that good at dueling. He would just have to hope he could be persuaded into not going to the pier.

When Kes left the great hall shortly after Kal he shouted, "Hey Kalevi!" He didn't wait for a response as he sprinted after the boy. His face twisted with determination at stopping the child from making a grave mistake. When he did reach the fellow sixth year he crossed his arms and pelted him with questions. "What are you doing? Where are you going? What is with your fascination with the draugr? Heard someone heckling you in the Great Hall what are you going to do about it? Are you scared? Too chicken to even try and face them?" Kes said all this without leaving much room for breathing. He hoped the rapid fire of questions would make Kal forget his objective and head back into the great hall.
